As the first light of morning touches Boodja, the land begins to awaken. Soft golden sunlight spreads across the earth, bringing warmth to the winding waterways, the wildflowers and the trees that have stood for generations.
The gentle colours of the morning sky blend with the earthy browns, soft pinks and golden ochres of the land. Dew sparkles like tiny stars, while flowers open their petals to welcome the new day. Birds begin to sing, and a peaceful stillness settles across Country.
For Noongar people, Boodja is more than the land beneath our feet. It is a place of belonging, family, memory and connection. Every sunrise reminds us of the deep relationship between people, land, water and all living things.
As the morning light dances across the landscape, it carries a feeling of hope, gratitude and renewal. Each new day brings another opportunity to care for Country, listen to its stories and appreciate the beauty that surrounds us.
